Write tests for a Reactive Agents package or service using Bun test runner and Effect-TS patterns. Use when creating tests for any module in this project.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Write Tests: $ARGUMENTS
## Mandatory Rules — Read Before Writing Any Test
These three rules prevent the most common test failures in this codebase. Violating them causes permanent hangs, flaky CI, and false greens.
### Rule 1: Always pass `--timeout 15000`
Effect-TS leaves dangling event loop handles (timers, sqlite connections, open streams). Without an explicit timeout, the test runner waits forever after tests complete.

# WRONG — never run without timeout:
bun test
```
Add the run command as a comment at the top of every test file:

### Rule 2: Always tear down servers with `.stop(true)`
Any `Bun.serve()`, Elysia, or Express instance left open after tests will trap the process permanently. Use `afterAll`:

How to install
mdr add tylerjrbuell/reactive-agents-ts/implement-test@sha256:9bccf7947e0950b9The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260410.ec8f41f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
