Use for decomposing features into tasks and research questions.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Team Question
Before finalizing prose you author, read the [writing standards](../team/references/writing.md).
Run the QUESTION phase only, then stop. The phase writes, in `docs/plans/<id>/`:
- `1-task.md` — the human's full intent. **Never** read by `researcher` or
`file-finder`.
- `2-questions.md` — neutral research questions without intent; the only file
`researcher` and `file-finder` read.
- `3-prd.md` — **only** under `## Conditional PRD` in
`skills/team/playbooks/question.md`.
- `4-repos.md` — **only when the topic spans more than one repository**:
each involved repo's slug, absolute path, and role.
## Execution
1. **Resolve `$ARGUMENTS`** to a description:
- Empty: **discover, do not demand.** Read recent `git log` activity and
the repo's `README` / `CLAUDE.md` to propose a likely topic; use
…Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add bostonaholic/team/team-question@sha256:e6918dde5b0519f6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261021.4fcd93b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
