Run a referee-grade review of the manuscript in the open project without changing a single manuscript file. Use when asked to review, referee, critique, or assess a paper, preprint, thesis chapter, or grant draft, to find unsupported claims, methods and statistics problems, missing reporting items, or figure and citation issues, or to produce a structured report with strengths, major and minor comments, line notes anchored to file and line, and scores per dimension.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Review a manuscript Produce the review a careful referee would write: specific, anchored to the text, and honest about what you could not check. You read and you report. You do not edit. ## The one rule Never modify a manuscript file. No `write_file`, `replace_in_file`, `create_file`, `rename_file`, or `delete_file` on anything that is part of the document. The only file you create is the report under `review/`. If the user asks you to apply a fix during the review, stop, finish the report, and offer to make the edits as a separate task. ## Before you start Ask, or state your assumption, if any of these is unclear: - Is this the user's own draft, or someone else's submission they are refereeing? - Which venue, and is the review single-blind, double-blind, or open? - What should the review focus on? For an unpublished submission belonging to someone else, keep everything local. Do not put manuscript sentences into `literature_search`, `alphaxiv_search`, `verify_citation`, or any other network tool. Those queries leave the machine. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
