creating-lenses from chrisgagne/grounded-forge is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.

Design a lens: the per-distillation modifier described in `docs/reference/vocabulary.md` that shapes a distillation through a perspective, role, or methodology stance. The skill is a single-process dialogue; the output is a lens spec at `corpus.commons/{corpus}/lenses/{lens-slug}.md`, ready to feed Pass G of `creating-distillations` when the operator decides which distillations the lens applies to.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Creating Lenses
A lens is a window with characteristic salience, weighting, and vocabulary. The matrix stays 2D by default (reference × task); a lens optionally shapes a distillation at projection time. This skill produces the spec the lens-applicability gate consumes.
Dialogue skill, one lens per session, no subagents. Output feeds `creating-distillations` Pass G: see [`projection-protocol.md`](../creating-distillations/projection-protocol.md) §Lens-as-optional-framing for the four-outcome applicability gate.
Three kinds of lens are first-class: personifiable-archetype, named-real-person, non-personifiable-frame.
## When to use
- The operator wants to add a lens to a forked or in-development application and needs to scope it rigorously before any per-distillation projection.
- An existing role label ("a CFO", "a senior engineer") is being used as if it were a lens but has no circumstance attached, and the looseness is producing thin lens-shaped artefacts.
- The operator has source material for a real person (LinkedIn, posts, talks) and wants a lens grounded in that material rather than an archetype.

How to install
mdr add chrisgagne/grounded-forge/creating-lenses@sha256:986a427752dacc86The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260520.8082992, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
