The single entry point for creating a new application: a compiled distribution built from a corpus subset projected onto a task axis (with optional lenses + practitioner-role agents). Run this when a user says "create an app for X" or similar. The skill first ensures a task spec exists (calling `creating-tasks` internally if one does not, so the user sees a continuous experience rather than a bounce), then scaffolds the distillation directory, distillation index, build profile, CLAUDE.md…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Creating Applications
An *application* is a compiled distribution: a corpus subset projected onto a task axis (optionally through a lens-set and a practitioner-role agent-set), bundled with a CLAUDE.md template and packaged at `corpus.commons/{corpus}/apps/{profile}/`. This skill scopes and assembles one application end-to-end.
The skill is the single user-facing entry point for creating an application. Internally it delegates to two sub-skills:
1. **Task-axis scoping.** If no task spec exists at `corpus.commons/{corpus}/tasks/{task-slug}.md`, invoke the `creating-tasks` flow inline. The dialogue happens in this skill's conversation; the task spec drops at the right path; the skill continues onward without re-prompting the user. If a task spec already exists, skip.
2. **Per-distillation projection.** For each source named in the task spec, call `creating-distillations` once. Pass G's applicability gate decides which distillations fire. Often dispatched as parallel sub-agents.

How to install
mdr add chrisgagne/grounded-forge/creating-applications@sha256:3ba0cf6fc8e98119The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260929.9d31817, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
