Use this skill when you need LinkedIn connection request notes that get accepted: "write a connection note", "my acceptance rate is low", "connect with prospects without being salesy". Writes short notes under the character limit built on a real reason to connect (shared topic, trigger, community, event or their content), with no pitch, and gives variants for cold prospects, event attendees, post engagers and referrals. Includes when to send no note at all.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Use this for the first step of LinkedIn outreach. The note has one job: get accepted by giving a genuine reason to connect. Selling comes later, and only if the conversation earns it. ## Inputs - The prospect: name, role, company, recent activity. - The reason to connect: shared topic, trigger, event, community, mutual connection, their content. - Who you are, in a few words. ## The play ### 1. Find the reason | Reason | Strength | Note pattern | | --- | --- | --- | | Referral from a mutual connection | Strongest | "Sam suggested we connect about..." (only if true) | | They engaged with your content | Strong | "Thanks for your comment on..." | | Same event or community | Strong | "Saw you're at <event> next week too..." | | Their content | Strong | "Your post on <specific point>..." | | Role or industry peer | Medium | "I work with a lot of <role>s in <industry>..." | | Trigger (new role, hiring) | Medium | "Congrats on <role>, <specific note>" | ### 2. Write the note - Under 200 characters; shorter is usually better. Free accounts may have a lower limit and a monthly cap on notes, so check yours. - One reason, one sentence about it, no ask beyond the connection. …

How to install
mdr add prosyo-ai/gtm-skill/linkedin-connection-note@sha256:12f4b4d1a717c398The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
