Delegate bounded work from Codex to Claude Code through its CLI, then inspect and integrate the result. Use when Claude Code is requested or adds useful independent capacity.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Claude Code Subagents Use this skill from Codex when the user asks to have Claude Code do work, or when a separate Claude Code run can make useful independent progress. Codex remains the orchestrator and accepting owner; Claude Code is a delegated worker. This is the host-specific fifth skill in Northstar's package. ## Decide whether to delegate - Delegate only when a bounded Claude Code task can improve speed, independent review, or focused expertise enough to justify startup, coordination, integration, and model cost. - Keep simple, sequential, tightly coupled, or one-file work with the current agent unless the user specifically requests Claude Code. - Check that `claude` is available and inspect its local version/help when the invocation depends on specific CLI options. Do not read or print credentials, tokens, or full provider settings. How to install
mdr add stancsz/northstar/claude-code-subagents@sha256:8fc7840a1972b1f8The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261004.84c4c5b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
