Carries out one work item or a finite batch from the private work graph — selects, dispatches workers, integrates, checks, repairs within limits, closes through manage-work-graph, and escalates or recovers. Use when asked to do, implement, or work an item, a set of items, or an epic's ready work, or via /dotbrain:run-execution. NOT for filing or reshaping work items (manage-work-graph), a design-level automation handoff (iterate-design), or independent review (review-gate).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Run Execution
Run one bounded execution: one work item by default, or an explicit finite batch of item IDs. The
work graph says what depends on what; this skill owns the **execution graph** — how an agent team
carries out the fixed item set — and each item's **execution record**. Graph maintenance and
closure rules stay with [`manage-work-graph`](../manage-work-graph/SKILL.md).
A plain action request ("do X", "work the ready items under this epic") starts this skill.
Calling it does not require spawning another agent.
The agent team is runtime-neutral: the lead and each worker may run in different agent runtimes.
Workers run in the lead's runtime unless the human explicitly asks for another, in the request or
in a project rule they wrote; the lead may suggest one but never switches on its own.

How to install
mdr add arminzou/dotbrain/run-execution@sha256:43c84fd01cb232b1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261022.da024f4, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
