Run a durable engineering review gate with focused code, simplification, or readiness review.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Review Gate Turn a review into a durable gate without claiming that all review methods answer the same question. The review bead is the lifecycle record; read [the shared contract](../manage-work-graph/references/review-beads.md) before creating or resuming one. ## Choose the mode | Mode | Target and question | Engine | | --- | --- | --- | | `code` | A diff, commit, branch, PR, or working tree: is it correct and in scope? | A read-only `reviewer` agent that authored none of the changes; native `/review` when available. | | `simplify` | The same target: what can be deleted, collapsed, or replaced with a native capability? | An independent reviewer using the bundled [simplification procedure](references/simplify.md). How to install
mdr add arminzou/dotbrain/review-gate@sha256:4814cbc9ec1ae9baThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261017.5b1062d, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
