Creates, revises or checks a complete plan for agents to execute, turning requirements and confirmed decisions into an approach, steps, outputs and acceptance evidence. Use for implementation, research, content creation, data processing and similar tasks.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Complete plans for agents Write the plan so that an agent that did not take part in the earlier discussion, after reading the plan and the materials it explicitly references, knows the goal, the basis, how to carry out the work, its decision authority and the done criteria, without guessing key agreements from chat history. Judge completeness by the requirements in effect and the boundaries of execution, not by length, number of sections, or agreement among models. Keep the information execution needs, and merge repeated statements; a simple task may use a short plan that covers everything necessary. By default, write the plan, check findings and your final reply in the user's language. ## 1. Determine this piece of work and its basis First tell whether the user is asking you to create a plan, revise an existing plan, or only check completeness. When only checking, deliver the issues and their basis; when creating or revising, deliver a current plan that can be used on its own. Writing a plan does not by itself authorize implementing, publishing or starting other agents; carry over the authorization already given in the conversation. …

How to install
mdr add coder-xieshijie/dev-skills/plan-for-agents@sha256:052ba67dc7e8cbc4The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261007.72d3419, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
