Decide what changes in a message or page from person to person, where each value comes from, and what shows when it is missing. Use when a greeting ships with an empty name, a recommendation block shows everybody the same items, or a block varies by person. Not who receives it (segmentation) or the words (email-copy).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# personalization This skill answers one question: what changes inside a message or on a page from one person to the next, where that value comes from, and what happens when it is not there. Who receives the message is decided by `segmentation`. When it goes is `triggered-messages` and `contact-orchestration`. What it says is `email-copy`. Here you handle the places that differ per person: the name in the greeting, the city in the footer, the expiry date on a code, the product block, the banner on the home page. Personalization fails quietly. The template runs, the message goes out, the delivery report comes back green, and inside it everybody whose field was empty got the fallback text and everybody the block could not resolve against got the same list of bestsellers. No campaign report shows that, because a campaign report counts sends rather than what got substituted into them. How to install
mdr add 808enzo/chappie/personalization@sha256:f029aa0afdd82fadThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261009.fdb6855, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
