Keep a paid subscription from ending over a failed charge, and end it cleanly when the person cancels. Use when a renewal charge fails and nobody knows the retry window or access, the cancel screen hides the button behind a discount, or a pause never resumes. Not win-back after a lapse (lapse-and-winback) or invoiced contracts (b2b-retention).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # subscription-retention This skill answers one question: **how a paid subscription is kept from ending without the person's decision, and how it ends when the person decides: what is said before the end of a term and when, what the program does when a charge fails, and what happens on the cancel screen.** Not who counts as drifting away, and not what to send somebody who left: those belong to the neighbors. What lives here is the end of a term and the two cases it can open. What sets this work apart from the rest of the library opens `references/subscription-vocabulary.md`. **Three units, named apart.** The *term* is one billing period of one subscription: its start, its end date, its price, and what falls due at the end (a charge, a trial's conversion, a price change). The unit of the first mechanic: the notice calendar and the timer on the charge event live on it. The *recovery case* opens when a charge for a term is declined, or when the store reports a failed renewal, and closes when the charge is paid, when the retry window ends with no payment, or when the person decides. How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
