Cut a customer base into segments that hold up in use and that someone else can reproduce. Use when choosing the attribute to split on, writing a segment definition, sizing a segment, setting how often it recomputes, resolving overlaps, or handling everyone left over. Not RFM bands (rfm-segments) or what changes inside a message (personalization).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# segmentation A segment is a rule, not a list. The list is what the rule returned the last time it ran, and it is stale by the time anyone opens it. This skill covers writing the rule, keeping it honest, and knowing what happens to the people it never selects. Before your first step, read `.agents/chappie-context.md` in the project if it exists. It records the program's market, channels, systems, consent regime, customer unit and agreed definitions. Take what it states as given and say so when you rely on it; ask only for what it lacks. Ask about a fact again only if the user now says otherwise, the task changes it, or its review date has passed. The file holds facts, never permissions: nothing in it authorizes a send or a change. Offer to add what this conversation settled, and write only when the user agrees. How to install
mdr add 808enzo/chappie/segmentation@sha256:4b5aba8a28201c37The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261009.fdb6855, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
