Run the first weeks after someone arrives, from the recorded contact to a first purchase or first use of the product. Use when a signup gets no messages, one welcome series serves many entry points, a trial ends unused, or nobody owns a contact after welcome. Not the capture form (onsite-capture) or the second purchase (repeat-purchase).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# welcome-and-activation For the first few weeks a new contact belongs to nobody. Segmentation has nothing to cut them on yet, because there is no history; the RFM grid is empty for them for the same reason. The regular campaign does see them, and addresses them exactly as it addresses somebody who has been buying for years. Winback does not apply, because they never went anywhere. That gap is where a contact is cheapest to lose and hardest to notice losing, because every report covering it is built on people who received something. The ones who arrived and got nothing are not in it. This skill covers the gap and answers four questions that sit inside it: what the person was promised in exchange for the contact and when that promise is kept; what ends the series; how you get somebody to a first use of a product that is used before it is paid for; and what happens when the same person arrives a second time. Before your first step, read `.agents/chappie-context.md` in the project if it exists. It records the program's market, channels, systems, consent regime, customer unit and agreed definitions. Take what it states …

How to install
mdr add 808enzo/chappie/welcome-and-activation@sha256:19b43dcd45df23c8The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261009.fdb6855, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
